A 20 Year Legacy

general biodiversity

Twenty years ago, the Wild Farm Alliance emerged out of a conference of conservationists and sustainable agriculture advocates and practitioners in northern California. This nexus of wild lands preservation and agriculture — through habitat connectivity and stewardship — has been the unique domain of our organization.

The mission of the Wild Farm Alliance is to support agricultural systems that protect and restore wild nature. We also collaborate with conservationists who value appropriate agroecological practices on the margins of our within protected areas. This vision has proved to be ahead of its time. Today, our work is more important than ever and gaining traction with landowners, agencies, funders and others through numerous campaigns which will take shape over the next 30 years.
