Wild Farm Alliance and Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association are partnering to present topics on beneficial Western Bluebirds, Barn Owls, and other types of sustainability practices!

Prudy Foxx of Foxx Viticulture
 will speak on proactive vineyard management practices that support vine immunity and vineyard soil health.

Kyle Theriot and Vicky Cordero of Ridge Vineyards will discuss the positive impact their nest box program is having on pest control, and successful sustainability practices at the vineyard.

Tricia Jordan from the California Bluebird Recovery Program will share monitoring data she collects on more than 40 of their Bluebird nest boxes, and how that translates into 1,000s of insects eaten. 

Jo Ann Baumgartner and Brian Fagundes of Wild Farm Alliance will cover research on W. Bluebirds and how best to support them and a variety of other beneficial birds with nesting structures and native habitat.

Breanna Martinico of UC Davis will discuss Barn Owls, from the numbers of rodents they eat and the best box designs, to issues with rodenticides. She will also cover how and where to install raptor perches.
