WFA is pleased to offer a free California Continuing Education Course about attracting and supporting natural enemies for pest control. The course will be available through December 31, 2024. We plan to renew in 2025.
Participants will learn about the research showing the benefits of installing habitat on farms for supporting pest control and other ecosystem services.
The course is approved for 2.5 credits through the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. Anyone is welcome to take the course, but only those in California can receive credits.
The course may be taken at your leisure over several days or weeks as needed. Course progress is tracked by your email address. If you leave and come back into the system using the same email address, you can pick up where you left off. Make sure your email address is spelled correctly when you enter the first time so you don't lose your progress.
The course is divided up into three sections with video lessons and quizzes throughout. There is also a final ten question quiz at the end of the course. You must get at least 70% correct in each quiz to pass. You may re-take a quiz if you do not pass on the first try.
Please note: After completing a course, you will be directed to a certificate of completion. You must submit the certificate to the California Department of Pesticide Regulation to receive your credits. This course is approved for 2.5 credits in the “Other” category and would count towards the total “Other” hours needed for the license renewal.
