Deep in the heart of California’s Central Valley, lying in the dry parched soils of the former Tulare Lake, there is a farm.

The farmers are helping to revitalize the town of Allensworth, the first town in California established by African Americans. They are creating healthy soil, sequestering carbon and providing habitat.
